I've managed this well thus far. I think I've got a fair chance of avoiding it entirely.

As a welcome, I tend to offer a bit of sparring to get everyone caught up to where their powers have recovered to. I've got a decent amount of defense to protect myself from anything too drastic- [ unless they surprise me by blocking it ] and it's been a good amount of fun as well.

Do you... want to try sparring with me?

We should go somewhere fire resistant, with plenty of room.

The rift! It's probably the safest place here to do this.

[ scrambles to his feet, egg immediately dislodged and flying circles at the idea of fun enrichment. yaaaay excitement! ]

[ waddles our way to fight night ]

[ Fight, fight, fight! Crys scrambles along.

She's only going into full SAM mode and summoning her twin blades once they're in the rift.

Her voice also goes through its drastic tonal shift to robot. ]

Fyrefly Type IV, ready for battle.

You know, I don't know what I expected but this is new.

It's not a common type of armor these days.

[Her voice is so much slower in this form, like it's a strain to speak.]

Are you ready?

[ HE'S JUST A POOR YE OLDE HE BARELY KNOWS WHAT A ROBOT IS. eyeballing the entire thing like you know, this might as well happen. okay!! he can deal with armor!! ]

[The armor is set on fire and she's rushing at him at a speed that's so unreasonable. He is going to get kicked so hard.]

[ holY SHIT. honestly, he deserves to be kicked like a football. he just lets this happen. if he bounces a little on landing, it's only because he barely manages to pull up a barrier ]

[ 1000 years in jail!! but he's grinning like he's having a great time. his staff glows and the floor under them rumbles threateningly ]

[She's going to get in close again and try to knock the staff out of his hands with a sword.

She's not a battle maniac, but practice keeps a weapon sharp.]

[ he's learned a few tricks from fighting zhongli and pillars of rock shoot up from the ground. not nearly as sturdy nor as thick as a gods but it should still be enough of a deterrent.

[She's zippy, but she's also not used to battling rocks of all things. So they do slam into her before she's able to hover higher than their reach.

And then the space becomes alarmingly hot, as she uses the flames to increase her speed of approach. ]

yea he makes a fist and all the pillars suddenly crumble and start swirling instead. sand, rock, and whathaveyou kick into a storm, abet a temporary one. op mages, I swear ]

[ She is a fully armored knight with a visor, so this isn't really deterring her.

However, she does need visibility.

She does land a cratering hit somewhere that Hawke isn't. ]

[ that was the hope, yea. he's beaming even if he looks like he went an extra six rounds against her armor. whoof. half power spells are draining as shit ]
