It's gone now, lost to the blight. I've spent the last eleven years in and out of Kirkwall instead. That's where I met Anders and the rest of our companions. There's never a dull moment in that place, and depending on the day, sometimes multiple times a day.
You'll never get the sheer smell of it out. Being near the docks during the height of summer is probably even worse than navigating the sewers in darktown. Lowtown could probably pass off as a junk heap and no one would ever spot the difference. And sure, Hightown is where the family estate is and it's nice and all but no one would willingly admit that they live here on purpose.
