Not quite. All's Saints Day is meant to celebrate those departed and people get dressed up to parade around as spirits. These spirits, however, seem to be a bit more stationary although they still seem to have the same amount of sweets floating around.

It is very unlike the Saint's Day that I am familiar with...

I can't say I mind it too much, however.

Fascinating, isn't it? I've never seen anything quite like that. Bloody useful, that's for sure.

I would not think necromancy is necessary for such a purpose...

Far too true, unfortunately. I've got a good head for magic but even necromancy is one I find too unsettling to try.

Where I am from, any magic that is performed without use of a relic or igniter is considered quite "fancy."

Oh! That is how you use magic, then? Most mages wear igniters on their bodies, and use a staff only to channel and focus the energy. At least, from what I have heard...

Truly? My, magic seems to work in fascinating ways outside Thedas. Alas, we've just got the staves and staffs to focus our mana through.

There are many other kinds of magic, too, though some are unknown to much of the world.

So I've begun to see. Truly, had we all the time, I'd try and learn a few other types of magic and the like.

You should see what my brother can do. He can change the weather itself!

I've always wanted to learn how to do localized snow storms. Ice isn't as easy for me as fire but surely something about combining that with air would create a close enough effect-

Snow storms? That would be amazing...

Usually he just makes it nicer for sailing. We've never tried anything like that...

A friend of mine, Isabela, was almost ready to strongarm me onto her crew when she realized I could nudge the waters calmer. Not well mind you, but enough that she could make use of it.
