[Hawke were you the one who submitted a field trip for the swirly vortex thing of doom and fighting]

Good. I miss training, even though it puts my life at risk.

[And he hasn't gotten to go all-out at fighting...except against Majima and Laurence, and those don't count because the first one was a battle to the death Akihiko doesn't want to have as an achievement in the slightest, and the latter was a battle to the death Akihiko would like to forget.

Perhaps that's why Akihiko goes forward, and then realizes he doesn't know the way to the rift. He's that eager to get started!]

Heaven isn't that big. I'd have found it sooner or later.

[He would have, but like three hours later. Heaven is big]

Yeah. I have been boxing with Marcoh, but I haven't been able to train with my powers since I arrived to heaven. I must practice or else I'll go rusty.

[Well, also there's thrill in it, he can't deny it]

You can't let that happen. Body and mind are connected, and I guess magic is a third element now. If you don't keep all three at full strength, you won't reach your full potential!

[And he's great at all three, somehow! Contrary to what the spinoffs' writing would make you think. I'm still salty over that]

Marcoh trained me often. I doubt I could defeat him, but other than him I'm confident about defeat anyone else!

[In a way, defeating Majima proved great improvement. Let's be real, Majima had a handicap, but that still is an achievement. He credits Marcoh for this]

[Akihiko gets his Evoker ready. Just in case, he tells Hawke:]

This isn't a real gun.

[It's a warning he had to give because then he puts it to his head, and pulls the trigger. Akihiko's Persona Caesar appears, already prepared to pull off any of the moves Akihiko knows -- severely weakened by being at half strength, but ready nonetheless!]

This is more than I could do back in the rest of heaven.

[And apparently its support skill still is present, because Akihiko is able to raise both Hawke and himself's attack power. Good!]
