Week 1, Monday

[ Eupha can be found looking around the village in the evening, when the skeletons are all set out! She looks a little perturbed... ]

Is this... how the people here inter their dead?

[ sweet eupha free me from the sheer amount of sin happening out there in the wild. ]

It may be. We have a holiday for something similar. ...Though it's usually for the little ones to dress up and parade around rather than putting out decorations like so.

It looks like an outdoor mausoleum... You say little ones are paraded around here?

[ ???? ]

[ chortles ]

Not quite. All's Saints Day is meant to celebrate those departed and people get dressed up to parade around as spirits. These spirits, however, seem to be a bit more stationary although they still seem to have the same amount of sweets floating around.

[trifocal]

[ her eyes get so wide. ]

This is... a Saint's Day tradition?

It is very unlike the Saint's Day that I am familiar with...

Bit unique, isn't it? [ goes off to trick or treat a skeleton and returns with candy for her ]

I can't say I mind it too much, however.

Fascinating, isn't it? I've never seen anything quite like that. Bloody useful, that's for sure.

[ imagine, candy whenever you want from a skelly buddy... ]

I would not think necromancy is necessary for such a purpose...

But it'd be funny!

I fear it would be an easy way to get cursed by a resentful spirit...

Far too true, unfortunately. I've got a good head for magic but even necromancy is one I find too unsettling to try.

Just a bit. Nothing too fancy, mind.

Where I am from, any magic that is performed without use of a relic or igniter is considered quite "fancy."

[ tilts his head at what he's got attached to his back and him raises a finger in shh ]

Bit subtle, isn't it?

[ because somehow no one can ever tell the orbed staff with a wholeass sword attached is a extra large wizard stick ]

Oh! That is how you use magic, then? Most mages wear igniters on their bodies, and use a staff only to channel and focus the energy. At least, from what I have heard...

[nonmagicuser]

Truly? My, magic seems to work in fascinating ways outside Thedas. Alas, we've just got the staves and staffs to focus our mana through.

[ but then there's the whole blood thing but shhhh we won't talk about that one ]

Oh... I see!

There are many other kinds of magic, too, though some are unknown to much of the world.

So I've begun to see. Truly, had we all the time, I'd try and learn a few other types of magic and the like.

You should see what my brother can do. He can change the weather itself!

Oh, but I don't think that can be learned...

I've always wanted to learn how to do localized snow storms. Ice isn't as easy for me as fire but surely something about combining that with air would create a close enough effect-

Snow storms? That would be amazing...

Usually he just makes it nicer for sailing. We've never tried anything like that...

A valid use of wind, if I say so myself.

A friend of mine, Isabela, was almost ready to strongarm me onto her crew when she realized I could nudge the waters calmer. Not well mind you, but enough that she could make use of it.
